Hawaii meetings
The first Hawai’i Native Seed Conference will take place May 17-19, 2016, followed by the Hawai’i Seed Bank Partnership Meeting on May 20. These will be held at UH Manoa in Bilger Hall. The morning of May 17 will include invited speakers from within Hawai’i presenting on current research, efforts, and initiatives involving native Hawaiian seeds. This will be followed by a two-and-a-half day workshop by Carol and Jerry Baskin, experts on seed dormancy and germination, who have been working with Hawaiian seeds since 2001.
